John Mark Osborne has been working with FileMaker Pro for the last 17 years and has become one of the leading industry experts. John Mark is co-author of the wildly popular Scriptology book and CD ROM which has become the standard for FileMaker Pro developers. Recently, he received a prestigious award from FileMaker, Inc. for developing outstanding technical resources for his popular FileMaker Pro web site, Database Pros [www.databasepros.com] John Mark is also a regular speaker and trainer at MacWorld Expos and the FileMaker Developer Conference. Database Pros works closely with FileMaker, Inc. as one of 25 Platinum level FBA (FileMaker Business Alliance) members. John is also one of eight developers authorized to teach the Professional Foundation Training Series IIII training courses. John is one of a handful of developers to pass the FileMaker 7 and 8 certification tests in the first round.

Jonn Howell is the president of DataExperience, Inc., and has been developing solutions in FileMaker Pro since 1992. His personal goal is to create the most intuitive user experience in the world. His clients include: Apple Computer, Amgen, Genentech, Electronic Arts, Nortel Networks, Novell Corporation, Stanford University, The University of California, and Air Support. He holds annual training classes on database design, relational modeling, business requirements, client management, documentation and interface design at his office north of Los Angeles. Jonn leads a team of 11 developers, building enterprise data systems, e-commerce systems and web design. He has a solid reputation in the bio-technical industry as a database system programmer, business analyst and developer. Formally trained as a robotics engineer, Jonn is also an accomplished graphic designer and professional sales trainer. Jonn received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University. He is currently an Associate Level FSA member, and has spoken at four previous FileMaker Developer Conferences.

Gauss Rescigno was born in Italy, attended high school in Australia, worked for two years in China, and now lives in Minnesota. He began using FileMaker in 1988 to manage business contacts when he worked briefly as a computer salesman.

He gave up sales but stuck with FileMaker, building databases for a construction company, a state agency, several non profits, and a medical device company. He specializes in creating user-friendly interfaces.

Russ Kohn is one of the leading experts in integrating FileMaker Pro solutions with the web using XML/XSLT, SOAP and the related "web 2.0" technologies. His clients have included such well known organizations as the William Morris Agency, Coke Corporation, the University of California and Aamco. Russ developed the Brushfire analysis tool, and the EZxslt utility for linking FileMaker data with MS Word and other word processors. In addition Russ has spoken at several FileMaker developer conferences, collaborated with Filemaker, Inc. in developing their conference keynote demos, and instructed hundreds of fellow FileMaker developers in many countries on how to use XML/XSLT with FileMaker. Russ’ current interests include web services and virtual world integration. When not slaving over a hot computer, Russ might be found making some of his own wine.

Ray has a formal Computer Sciences background with a Bachelorís degree from Illinois Institute of Technology and 22 years of related work experience. For the last 16 years, Ray has specialized in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Data Architecture for large companies and as a consultant. He has experience with almost all database software and has become technology neutral in that he believes that a useful BI infrastructure is less dependent on a particular technology and more dependent on the design and intentions of the organization. He is an expert in SQL and performance tuning for Data Warehousing queries in Oracle, SQL*Server and Teradata. Ray is also very good at listening to business needs, gathering and writing requirements, developing RFP guidelines, and responding to RFPís. He likes to use VISIO to visualize business processes, software processes, data flow, high-level design, etc. He is known as ìMr. Flowchartî because of his belief in the ability of flowcharts to bridge communication gaps between technical and business personnel. He also likes using UML and the Enterprise Architect tool in large corporate environments instead of Visio since that tool enables the codification of the semantics of the process and data flows. Ray does perform requirements elicitation and gathering and is an expert in running visioning, brainstorming & architecture sessions. Hehas wonderful war stories about doing projects for marketing departments of banks, credit card companies, airlines, biotech, telecoms, insurance companies, blood banks, and retail conglomerates.
